average data rates-OD5.6 to OD6.0 upgrade
madan1
HI all,
we are into OD5.6 to OD6.0 upgradation. the average data rates has drastically reduced.
In od5.6 the data rates while deploying a job was around 2000kB/s. But when upgraded to od6.0 the rate is just 50KB/s.
Can anyone assist me on this

I just remember that we can set file transfer buffer size to improve the deployment speed.
Please try reading OpenDeploy Administration Guide for more details.
Thanks Nicholas

Are you deploying from a TeamSite area on Unix? If so, see Configuring TeamSite Source File Locations on UNIX Hosts in the OD Admin Guide (p. 117 in OD 6.0.2 doc.) It discusses using cached vs non-cached mount points.

Did you have event reporting enabled or disabled in your old environment?
Do you have event reporting enabled or disabled in your new environment?
(look at the odbase.xml file and/or odrcvr.xml files)

Does en/dis abling of the event reporting impacts the data transfer rates and eventually the deployment times.
If it is disabled what effects does it have?

thanks for the reply.
Even when the event is disabled i don't see any difference.
Thanks,
Madan
