C++ create category under knowledgepace fails to show

I'm trying to create a category under a knowledgepace and I'm facing a little trouble with actually seeing it being made.

ICategory* pCat = pWS->createCategory((CComBSTR)"APP::LABEL");
if( pCat)
{
pCat->setPropertyValueString( (CComBSTR)"APP::NAME", (CComBSTR)m_sName );
pCat->setPropertyValueString( (CComBSTR)"APP:ESCRIPTION", (CComBSTR)m_sDescription );


pCat->update();
pCat->refresh();

pWS->update();
pWS->refresh();
}

It seems to work fine, yet the category does not show up when I go to the web application... am I setting these correctly? I saw in one of the examples that it was using setproperty method. However, it takes in an IObject and I just don't know what to pass in.
When creating a category on the web application, it also asks for security/type. However, the sdk doesn't let me specify this... how come?

Any help would be much appreciated

I realized that I had to create a "catalog folder" which is labeled as a category under the web application. However, an object of type "Category" is actually a tag created for a workspace. The naming of these threw me off a little so I hope it clears it up for others!


I'm still having an issue with specifying the type - primary or secondary for a CatalogFolder. Does anyone know how to specify this??
