How to get Activation Date of workflow using PERL

Hi all,
I have to retrive various details about the workflow(Submitted by the user) in perl file.
These are the information i am still unable to get :::

>> The intiated date(The day when user submitted the workflow).When i go to the workflow interface of teamsite, i can see the initiated date of the specific workflow in this format mm/dd/yy.
I checked the possible methods that can give me the Activation date in various .pm files, LIKE GetActivationTime() method in WFworkflow.pm .This method is return me time in seconds which is very uncomfortable to understand and estimate the day of submission.

>> One more label is showing on the workflow interface,Duration: . I am absolutely unable to find the appropriate method to retrieve this information in my perl file

I hope to recieve some valuable solutions from experts.I am attaching the part of perl file i am using.

This is the trivial way to retrieve a formatted date string from the number of seconds since epoch:my $adate = localtime($job->GetActivationTime());

Do you want duration of the job or duration of a task?
In either case - it's pretty easy.
If you know when the job was last activated and you know what time 'now' is:my $duration = time() - $job->GetActivationTime();
my $H = int($duration / 3600);
my $M = int(($duration - ($H * 3600)) / 60);
my $S = int($duration - ($H * 3600) - ($M * 60));
my $dstring = sprintf("%02d:%02d:%02d", $H, $M, $S);In the case of a task there's already a $task->GetDuration($dec, $delta_format) function - you'll need to read the perldoc for Date::Manip with respect to DeltaFormat; also the documentation for GetDuration seems to have been slightly improved since 5.5.2 - at least in 6.5 it contains the following caveat:

NOTE: It is possible for the duration to be negative if the task was activated and unactivated previously, and then was reactivated and is still active. Thus the current activation is after the last unactivation. --fish

Still i have few doubts ::

Because they didn't create it and apparently nobody (or not enough people?) requested it - most likely because in the case of a 'job' it's pretty easy to determine the duration based on the activation time - whereas with a task there can be multiple activations / unactivations and more customers seemed [more] concerned about the amount of time a particular task took than the amount of time a job in its entirety took.

Did you bother to read the perldoc for Date::Manip?

If you want to use Java, I believe there are a number of methods available in the CSSDK for accessing information about jobs.

If you want to use Perl, then look at the TeamSite:WF* perl modules.

Anything which isn't documented is subject to change at any point in time without prior notice.

My guess is that you could probably extract / present the exact same information you are seeing in the TeamSite UI using the methods provided and a little bit of custom code to manipulate the data into the manner you want to present it.
