you can make as many configurations as you wish and use as many of the as you like per DCT, not only workarea

He may need to reask his question. If he wants the same field on the same DCT to have different configurations in two different workareas, that isn't a good idea. As soon as he submits and get latests, one of them is going to be gone. But I'm thinking you probably read his intent correctly.
