For a Single DCT both iwov and xml for dcr-type
iw_store
Hi ALL,
I have Requirement LIke This :
In a Single Category i have 4 Data-Types:
A - Has iwov as dcr-type
B - Has iwov as dcr-type
C - Has iwov as dcr-type
D - Has XML as dcr-type
Now iam combing all 4 DCTs in a single DCT using containers.
Then as usual for this one category and one Data-Type i have.
When i see saved DCRS xmls of dcr-type= iwov and dcr-type=xml both will be Different.
When i save this combined DCT i want DCR xml as like this: For A,B,C in the form of iwov and for D in the form of xml.
How can i acheive this.
Sanjeev.

If you have a single DCT - it can only be *either* "iwov" style or "xml" style - you cannot have different portions of the same DCT in different styles (and from what I've heard/seen in the past couple of months, I think leaning towards "xml" style for all your DCTs is probably the proper direction to go in)

Hi Ghoti,
Thanks for reply.
I can make my dcr-type = iwov and then how can convert this to dcr-type = xml.
This is O/P of iwov type :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE record SYSTEM "dcr4.5.dtd">
<record name="iwov" type="content"><item name="QTForm"><value><item name="Test"><value><item name="question"><value><item name="
@label">
;<value>ee</value></item>
<item name="
@infoText">
;<value>ee</value></item>
<item name="
@From">
;<value>ee</value></item>
</value></item>
</value></item>
<item name="Editorial"><value><item name="Title"><value>ee</value></item>
<item name="sanjeev"><value>ee</value></item>
</value></item>
</value></item></record>
How can i convert this to XML Type :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<QTForm From="yy" infoText="yy" label="yy"><Title>yy</Title><sanjeev>yy</sanjeev></QTForm>
Because in XML Type it won't asddress about containers, how can i design my script to do so.
I have to make this because my application[BEA] needs that.
Any Help in This Regard will be Helpful to me.

Hi ALL,
For This is there any Command Line Tool is there for this.
Or my own script is the solution for this.

There's no OOTB CLT for doing this - there are a number of ways that various people have dealt with this kind of thing before (search forums for): XSL / XSLT, Perl regex, TeamSite::XMLnode / TeamSite:
CRnode, etc.
That's only if you already have DCRs created the "wrong" way. If you are starting from scratch - you just need to fix the DCT and any test DCRs you created - and that can probably be done manually.
