Hi All,
I am facing this issue with TS 6.5 performance...
My env.
win2003 ent edition
TS 6.5
TS 6.5 SP1
I am trying to traverse through a bunch of DCRs and generate some sql statements to do database updates.
But the iwperl process just hangs in between and doesnt go ahead.
any comments..?

Reply and attach your offending code. How do you know that it's hanging on this process? Do you know where in the script it's hanging? Are your callbacks being invoked appropriately?

Besides it saying 'hi', the log file doesn't mean anything to me without seeing the code -- the script -- that generates this log file. When you respond, please
attach
the file as opposed to pasting it in the textarea. It's much cleaner that way.

It looks like it is stoping at this line:
my $quoted_id = ( ( defined $$group_meta{STRING_ID} ) && ( $$group_meta{STRING_ID} eq 1 ) ) ? 1 : 0;
can you comment that out & see if it completes ? First find the offending code

In the interest of finding exactly where the issue is occuring, could you put a die statement in at certain points with different output on each one? At least this could narrow it down somewhat.

From the location of the debug statements, I think you can narrow it down to
one statement (I posted earlier)

Have you tried stepping through it with the debugger (iwperl -d)? Set some breakpoints at major sections then just run from breakpoint to breakpoint.

I am able to fix this now...
The problem was with how perl 5.8.2. treats the UTF8 encoding.
In my IPL I was printing some properties files.
This was originally coded in perl 5.0
The error it was throwing was..
'Wide character in print at line....'
Just to share What I did incase if somebody encounters this problem......
instead of direct printing...
"
use bytes;
print PROPERTIES $ui_element_key . "=" . $ui_element_value . "\n";
no bytes;
"
this worked...
