mp install on linux
peter_choe
i am experimenting with worksite mp linux installation.
i went to the support site of interwoven to get the worksite mp 4.1 sp1. since this would be a linux installation, i used firefox browser. when i try to download the service pack nothing seems to be happening. does the download work with firefox or is internet explorer required? if IE is required, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the MP label (i am assuming MP mean multi platform).
so, it's mp as long as i can use IE to download the service pack and hot fixes?

This does work with Firefox. The download is a 2-step process. First you queue the download, then the page refreshes and provides you with the option to download via HTTP or FTP. You have to click one of these options to begin the actual download.

I get the same error you have when my browser has an error rendering the script. I've never bothered to find out why but have made a quick work around. I simply use the page properties menu option of the spawned http page that is supposed to connect to Interwovens ftp server and copy that URL then login to that file with the filezilla ftp client (anonymous). hth
btw my linux/mp test server runs great with 4.1sp1 and Fedora and on 4.1/red hat 9 (<--don't think this was ever officially supported).
