Is this the literal command you are typing?

iwfsshrink run store

If so, do you have a backing store named "store"? My guess from the error is that you do not. You need to specify the name of the backing store. (Below info is from iwfsshrink -h on TeamSite 6.1, key line in blue).

Usage: iwfsshrink run|pause|abort|status [store]
iwfsshrink -h|-v
Finds and removes duplicate file contents from backing store.
-h Displays this usage information.
-v Displays this command's version number.
run Starts the iwfsshrink process.
pause Temporarily stops the iwfsshrink process.
It can be restarted with the run option.
abort Terminates the iwfsshrink process.
status Shows information about the latest iwfsshrink process.
store The name of the backing store to shrink.

Pranav,

Did you stop the Teamsite services or deactivate the default store before you tried to run a shrink? It looks like one or the other of these has been done as Teamsite cant seem to find your default backing store to run the shrink against.

Either that or you're simply not giving the store name the correct name. As mentioned before, the syntax should be:

iwfsshrink run [default store name]

Hope this helps,

You need the name of the store, not the path. The name of the default store is "default"

iwfsshrink run default

Hi,

Initially I tried with the store name, default, but when it was showing the same error. Finally in desperation i gave it a full path name.
all the TS services are up and running fine.
Any other clue for the error ?

Sounds like the problem is that default is not the name of the store.

try running iwstoreadm -l to see the name of the store you are running.

Also, you can run iwfsshrink without the name of a store if there is only one, and the system understands that one to be the default.

The trick is to ensure you explicity specify the name of the store you wish to run the 'iwfsshrink' command on, if you have more than one store set up.

i.e. if you have both p:\iw-store\default and p:\iw-store\new and 'new' has been activated, you would use the following command to shrink 'new':

'iwfsshrink run new'

and to check the status:

'iwfsshrink status new'.

Otherwise, you will get the 'No archive found:02005: No archive found' message.
