I am on Teamsite 6.5 with sp1 on win2000 server. I am trying to hide the fields inside a relicant depending on the heading selection out of a drop down. Here is my sample javascript. My frield inside the replicant is not dissapearing fro somereason. Please take a look at this small snippet.

lilley, you must iterate through each replicant and perform a setVisible on the item in each replicant, you can't just specify /container/item, you must specify /container/item[1], /container/item[2], etc.

Here is a simple snippet of my javascript which is not doing anything. I have a basic form with one replicant container element with a select box . When i choose "New Window" if has to set one invisble and leave the rest. Please let me know if my item handler is addressed right here.

Nope, that i have tried, I thought it wouldn't matter even the function is inside the init. As the main function which does the setVisible(flase) is outside init. I have moved my function out of init. But still it doesn't work. Please advice.

Is any of your javascript even being executed? It seems to me that you should be getting a javascript error for more than one reason. I haven't even looked at the logic of your javascript, but I did notice the following:

I would highly recommend brushing up on your javascript, these are some fairly easy things to catch. Also, make sure you don't have script debugging disabled and are displaying an notification on every script error.

sorry there was a typo, and the replicant which i specified were working in another program whcihc uses the same, but when i try to apply it in my dct it blows up on me.
I am getting towards the right solution, will post the right solution in a few.
