Filtering Jobs in TS6.5

aputnam

I am looking at trying to alter the Workflow tab.

I have several businesses sharing the same server.

I want to add a drop down item to the "View Jobs" drop down to filter by business.

For example in addition to "All Jobs" and "My Jobs" etc. I want to add "Business A Jobs" and "Business B Jobs".

I haven't decided the criteria for making subsets but before I get to involved I want to see if this is even possible.

Any suggestions /hints would be appreciated.

Have you read the section on configuring job attribute filters in the UI Customization Guide?
If not - I suggest you start there (it's not particularly detailed unfortunately - something that IWOV should fix) but I believe it covers what you want to do.

Yes I have. It is not exactly what I am looking for but I think I could do it that way.

What I really want is an alternative to the "All Jobs" view.

My guess is that in order to do that - you'd need to look into CSSDK and develop your own custom UI

Thanks for the help.

please share the information how to configure...job filter List

If memory serves, you've tried something already...

I tried removing in the job_filter.inl which is reffering in main.jsp, after i ran the install_webapps...

As I pointed to you before, it's a hack. If something goes wrong, IWOV Support won't help. You've been warned. That said, if you still want to do it:

1. You should not directly modify anything under '/iwhome/httpd/webapps'. Folder '/iwhome/local/.../customer_src' provides at least
semi-supported repository to perform this sort of modifications. Take a look [post=110063]here[/post] for some discussion.

2. After code modifications you would have to rebuild the CC Web application by using "make_toolkit" Widget.
Get to Interwoven® User Interface Customization Guide to see how to do that.

BEWARE! Incorrect use of make_toolkit may render some CC functionality broken. On it's own this mechanism does not
provide any "roll-back changes" capabilities whatever. What it means is that once broken it may be hard to fix.
