Automatically resizing and cropping photos

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations concerning automatically resizing and cropping photos in TeamSite (without using MediaBin)? I'm looking for recommendations of 3rd party packages and/or PERL/Java modules which can be integrated into the authoring process.

yeah, there are heaps of tools available.

this one is free and for the task of resizing is extremely easy to use.

I recall like it was mispelled as a trade name or something.. could be wrong....

Has anyone successfully installed it on windows? I used to use IM a lot in my pre-TeamSite days, but that was always on some form of Unix or Linux. I just tried to build it on windows, and it doesn't seem happy with some commands in the Makefile

Nevermind the previous post.

I just realized that I hadn't reinstalled visualstudio yet.

I ran into a bunch of build errors even after I installed Visual Studio, and updated the Makefile to point to the right location for the includes and headers, so I decided to try a different approach - download the module as a ppm and move it over by hand.

Sadly, it looks like there's a version mismatch issue between the version of activeperl that the perlmagick ppm is built for (5.8.7) and the version of perl that ships with TeamSite (5.8.2). I may have to go back to the idea of building it on a box that has TeamSite installed. I'm going to check the image magick developers list to see if they have any bright ideas.

One of my colleagues who had TeamSite installed on his laptop was able to build a perl 5.8.2 version of the modules which worked fine when deployed to the actual server. If anyone else ever needs those, we'd be happy to send them to you.
