we have an old install of Teamsite 5.5.2, we're having problems reconfiguring after it suffered hardware failure (no backups had run for months, grrr.)
Our first problem is that our IIS server is giving "The requested resource is in use." errors. Turning on caching (as per Microsoft KB) fixes this, howver, our users are generating asp pages through templates, and with caching on the page doesn't get displayed untill you bounce the web-server.
Interestingly though, at the root of this problem is the fact the teamsite is making TWO successive http requests for the asp page for each click within a Teamsite workrea. The first request made shows in the IIS logs a 200 - content served. However, the second request is always a 500 error. It seems that it's always the second request that get returned to the original brower window. The user, therefore, always gets this error.
So, I need one of two solutions either to ...
a) find out with teamsite makes these two reqeusts and eliminate one of them
or
b) fix IIS5 so it can serve both of these requests succesfully.
The KB article for the IIS problem is as follows.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/182059I'm completely at a dead end, so _any_ suggestions will be appreciated (apart from upgrade Teamsite, that ain't gonna happen

)
