Template Permissions on Workareas

Hi,

Platform: Teamsite 6.5 SP1, Windows Svr 2003.

I am trying to find the best way to limit access to Templates (DCTs) within Workareas on the same branch.

The model our client has implemented means that there are is a single branch representing their public website. The branch has a number of Workareas, each of which is restricted to one or more AD Groups and Teamsite users are members of one or more of those AD Groups.

The client wishes to restrict access to DCTs at the Workarea level such that users with access to a given Workarea will only be able to 'see' DCTs that are available to them, and not DCTs that relate to another Workarea.

I have been unable to find the best way to do this so far. There are a number of threads but no clear answer and the docs don't offer much help. The biggest problem appears to be that access to DCTs can only be restrcited at a branch, role and user level. We could limit access to specific users but this will be a nightmare to maintain (the client would simply say no!).

I'm sure this is a fairly common requirement and would welcome any tips or suggestions.
