As a guess:
<column name="ArticleID" data-type="VARCHAR(50)" value-from-element="article/0/ArticleInfo/0/ArticleID
/0
" allows-null="no" is-url="no"/>
I believe you want to get rid of the highlighted text as ArticleID is not a container (the
/0
indicates the first [or only] instance of a container object)

Thank you for the reply!
This is what I gather from the ddadmin manual:
*****************************************************************************************************************************************
For example, assume that the following data from a custom DCR is to be deployed to a
user-defined database schema:
<press-release>
<head>
<title>title1</title>
<byline author="Chris" location="location1"/>
</head>
<body>
<heading>heading1</heading>
<paragraph>para1></paragraph>
</body>
</press-release>
To map an element’s value to a column (for example, the value for title), the column
element in the DataDeploy configuration file would look like this:
<column name="title" data-type="VARCHAR(100)"
value-from-element="press-release/0/head/0/title/0"/>
To map the value of an element’s named attribute to a column (for example, the value for
the author attribute), the column element in the DataDeploy configuration file would look
like this:
<column name="author" data-type="VARCHAR(100)"
value-from-attribute="press-release/0/head/0/byline/0/author"/>
Note the /o/ succeeding each element name. Those are instance indicators that specify
which instance of the node’s value or attribute is mapped. You must specify the maximum
number of instances (replicants) for a given node element. Arbitrarily large values can be
specified when the maximum number of replicants allowed is unknown.

That's nice.
Have you tried dropping the '/0' to see if that works? If it works - file a bug against the manual; if it doesn't work - post again.

No luck! I tried that too!

Well, not sure what to tell you then... Based on what you posted (recap) - the error is:
DAS: ERROR:Values for PK column [ArticleID] missing in [templatedata\article\index\data\092120052320].
The dbschema specifies:
<column name="ArticleID" data-type="VARCHAR(50)" value-from-element="article/0/ArticleInfo/0/ArticleID/0" allows-null="no" is-url="no"/>
and the DCR looks like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<article>
<ArticleInfo>
<Abstract/>
<ArticleID>000999888</ArticleID>
...
</ArticleInfo>
...
</aritcle>
I'm assuming that neither 'article' nor 'ArticleInfo' are replicants - just single-instance containers - yes?
The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you mis-declared something in your DD config file - like where you declare the
xml-source
- what value did you use for the
xml-type
attribute? I believe it needs to be
custom
as opposed to
interwoven
.
Perhaps someone else will spot something - but in the meantime it might be a good idea to open a case with Support (just in case...)

I had a similar issue but it was because I dorked up the "is-replicant" spec.
