Teamsite Visual Difference

Hi
I have just installed Teamsite 6.1 on the development machine and activated the webdeskpro look and feel to transition users
But When i test the functionality the VDiff button does not display any thing on the browser even though the Source diff button is working fine
All i get is a blank browser popup window
I am running teamsite on windows 2003 and have just installed teamsite 6.1
Your thoughts will be much appreciated

Does the offending code work with regular preview ?

just click on the file you are trying to diff & tell us what happens

You're running Visual Diff on two files, but what file extensions do they have? Does the logged on user have permissions to read both files (I'd guess so if you're saying Source Diff works)?

If the Files are Html they open correctly on Visual Difference but if the files have a Xml extension i get a Blank pane on the Visual difference pop up window
The user has rights to open the files

Furthermore - when i click on the files just to preview them - html extension files works but jsp and xml files do not show up on the Internet explorer browser( I get a page not found error) - Did i miss somethign in the set up? My java vm is off on the browser settings

Nothing wrong with your visual diff. It is the browser settings and/or the webserver.
XML needs to be properly rendered in the browser before you can diff it.

If asp code does not work, then you need to check the webserver to make certain it is
processing the asp code correctly.

Hi,

I am using TeamSite5.5.2 on Sunsolaris .

One of user has problem with webdesk interface. When ever he logged in he is not seeing below File -menu New file,New Directory and New Record options. And also it is not showing data folder . It is showning like /data/test.jpg instead of data folder and below its files

For other users it is working fine. With Same user i logged into my system same problem i have seen but with my id it is working fine

Please let me know if anybody comeacross with this type of issue

I think it would be worth looking at permissions. you might also want to see if the behavior for the user is the same on another physical system/browser. That would eliminate the system and the JVM there as a source of the problem.

Be advised that 5.5.2 has reached end-of-life. You should give serious consideration to an upgrade strategy.

In Win2k3 /IIS 6, file extensions are not autmatically associated. You need to set the MIME types for the respective extensions (xml and jsp)

This issue was solved.User selected View->ListModified option so it is not giving newdcr,new file and new directory.

When i changed view->All Files it is showing all three
