Can you some more Details on what you mean by output file, is it DCR or or some other file you are talking.

If u are calling output file to DCR, i think NO.

After saving your DCT, you click "Form Settings" then select your Presentation Template (we have multiple) and now you "Select an Output File:". The output file would be the asp or html page that you're generating. So when you click "Browse" to "Select an Output File", is there a way to have it default to a certain directory? By default, it goes to the root of the workarea.

You could set the preview-dir option in templating.cfg for output files for every DCT basis like <branch vpath-regex=".*" preview-dir="/templatedata/htdocs">, so by default now it will store in templatedata/htdocs.

The setting in the templating.cfg file determines what path is an *allowed* location for output files - it does not (unless something has changed recently) determine what path is used to *start* the browser applet for *choosing* a location - i.e. you will still start at the root of the workarea and only when you try to save some place other than what conforms to the validation-regex will you get an error message.
