change the owner name in workflow

Hi All,

we need to change the owner name and requsted by name in workflow for customization.
Once we logged in to the teamsite, once click on the workflow tab in CCPro , we need to change the Owner name and requested by name

I have changed in jobs_list.jsp and jobs_properties.jsp but its not working..

Any idea where we have to change .

Do you mean changing the owner of the job to another userid - or changing the way the owner of the job is displayed (i.e. a full name instead of a username)?

You're dealing with an unsupported change then - I don't know how to do it, I suggest you file a feature request with Support so that, someday, it might be a supported change.

If anyone does respond - keep in mind that any change you make to the product files to achieve this is unsupported and could invalidate your support contract.

we file a feature request with support.

But we are changing the username instead of userid for display purpose only and we are not changing the functionality.

we have situation like this at client place:

If its fulltime employee we are using employee id for teamsite login, but once we logged in to teamsite and need to display the username instead of userid.

while checking the workflow, if we displays owner as userid, its not user friendly. Because of that we are changing to corresponding username instead of userid. we are mapping userid to username in one of the mapping file.
we need know to which jsp displaying the owner of workflow or requested by , we are looking in to <iw_home>\httpd\ccpro\workflow directory job_list.jsp and job_properties.jsp.

is it correct place we are looking?

any ideas..

I have no idea whether that's the right place or not - but as I said before - if you change *any* of *those* files - you are doing so in an unsupported manner and *may* be violating your support contract. Just because you're not intentionally changing product functionality doesn't mean it's any more or less of a problem.

The only "supported" way I could think of doing this is to provide a custom menu item to access the job / task details and to take the results of something like iwqueryjobs or iwquerytasks and do your own mapping of userids to usernames with respect to your own UI (actually, you might be able to do this more efficiently using something like CSSDK - but that's not something I've done at this point either)
