Search from a callout
jornduff
Anyone tried to use the search functionality from a callout? We often logically associate one data record with another in templating. Prior to TS 6.5 we had a custom search that queried database tables based on what the user entered in a search form. On the results page, the user was allowed to select on of the data records and the path to the selected data record was placed in the data record that was being edited. In TS 6.5 we would like to use as much of out of the box search as possible. We didn't really want to have to re-create the search form that is used in the callout. The other related issue is, has anyone else had the need to have the search results page show different information that what is does? We are going to be autonaming the files as they are created so the current results page really doesn't show anything meaningful (filename, path, modified date) about the contents of the file. The desire is to have some contents of the files themselves (title, intro, description, etc.) show up as columns on the results page. Part of the challenge with this is that each content type has it own particular fields they want on the search results page. Just wondering if anyone else has come across things like this. Thanks
We are upgrading to TS 6.5 SP1 on Solaris.
