Displaying item in a DCT based upon User

Hi,
I want to display a Item in DCT based upon the user logged in.
For example :
User A logs in and opens up a DCT . One item (say DropDown) should not be visible to him because he belongs to Department A and users in Department A are not allowed to view the DropDown.
User B logs in and opens the same DCT . The same item (DropDown) should be visible to him because he belongs to Department B and users in Department B are allowed to view the DropDown.
I am using TS6.5 on windows 2000.

One way would be to have a inline script that would check the user and display the correct field as required.

This is not really all that difficult if you read the manual and/or take some training. If you can't be bothered to do that yourself - then hire someone who has bothered to take the time to do it.
If you have tried to follow the manual and/or training - and are still having proboems - please provide more details about what you've tried and what happened / did not happen - and what you've tried to debug the situation.
