renaming a store?

Is it possible to rename a store?

We have a copy of our customer's store from about 6 months ago on our development server (call it "CusStore") and we're getting a new copy of the store but we need to hold onto the existing copy for a little bit (a week maybe) so we want to rename "CusStore" to "CusStore_Old" and create a new "CusStore" archive for the new copy - once we've verified that everything is okay between the two stores we'll get rid of the old one.

However, I cannot seem to find any CLT or UI mechanism to allow us to rename a store (one would hope that iwstoreadm contained such functionality but it doesn't seem to)

Has anyone else come across this need?
Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Stop ALL IW Services
Move your default store (Old Cust) to a new location/name
Copy/Move your New Customer (New Cust) store to the default store.

In iw.cfg add an entry in to the iwserver section
store_directory_oldcustomer=D:\iw-store.oldcust\default

Restart teamsite

You new customer store will now be the default.

If you need access to your old store run
iwstoreadm -a oldcustomer
You will then see it in the gui
to deactivate it
iwstoreadm -d oldcustomer

Got this from IW Tech Support. I needed it for migration purposes

Ah yes - I forgot about the locations stuff in the iw.cfg - thanks.
(you'd still think iwstoreadm would provide for this kind of functionality though - wouldn't you?)

mmm, I think we handle this more simply :

assuming the backing store is stored at /data/iw-store
there is at that location a subfolder for each store, e.g. /data/iw-store/default

For renaming, we simply do :
iwstoreadm -d OLDNAME
mv /data/iw-store/OLDNAME /data/iw-store/NEWNAME
iwstoreadm -a NEWNAME

works relatively fine for us ;-)

I think part of my problem was that someone else had originally handled the addition of the customer's store on our DEV box and it was done via the iw.cfg mechanism pointing to a completely different location for the actual store (rather than being a sub-directory of c:/iw-store) and so I needed to find out (be reminded of) the iw.cfg settings in order to fix things up.
