Workflow doesn't initiate on FINISH TS 6.5
sandy_27_1111
I have migrated from TS 6.0 to 6.5 sp1 , everything works file but the workflow is not getting initiated on the "Finish" event of the data capture form
entry in a available_templates.cfg
The workflow is starting on "SUBMIT" and "NEW JOB" event but fails to initiates the "tt_data" on forms 'Finish'.... Any knowledge on why is this happening
I have tried both the interface CCS and CCP, but the problem still persist

Are you sure that the DCR is *not* attached to an already existing job?
tt_data will not attempt to initiate a workflow if the DCR in question is already associated with a job

I have created an new DCR every time to test it and of the existing DCR , I have checked the properties but there is no mention of the attahced workflow

can you post your available_templates.cfg ?
it seems to have been filtered out.
A common problem is that in 5.5.2 you COULD (though it was unsupported)
have a branch definition like
/default/main/branch/subbranch/WORKAREA/workarea/templatedata/cat/article/data
and it would only kick off for the direcotry.
This does not work in 6.5, so if you are doing that, it does not work anymore.

Here's the entry in the configuration file
<template_file name='Sandeep test Workflow' path='bharti/test_sandeep.wft'>
<command_list>
<command value='new_job'/>
<command value='tt_data'/>
<command value='submit'/>
<command value='all' include='no' />
</command_list>
<role_list>
<Role value='author' include='yes' allusers='yes'/>
<Role value='all' include='no' allusers='yes'/>
</role_list>
<branch_list>
<branch value="//comp1/default/main/KMS/WORKAREA/Bharti/templatedata/submissions/test" include="yes" />
<branch value="all" include="no" />
</branch_list>
</template_file>

I believe the problem is the branch restriction you've set - tt_data, as far as I know, only provides the branch area vpath for use in comparison, and so the specification through the workarea up to and including all the directories you specified is probably causing it *not* to match.
If you want to use that branch restriction for new_job and submit, you'll need to create a second entry for the same template_file for tt_data that only specifies /default/main/KMS as the branch restriction.

I have removed the brach entry in the configutratioin file, but the tt_data event is not initializing the workflow

You probably need to contact Support and work with them on resolving the problem.
It used to be that you could turn on debugging in the available_templates.ipl script - but the last time I tried to do that in 6.5 it didn't seem to work (i.e. didn't seem to provide any debugging info), so perhaps they can assist in debugging the situation.

repost the avaialble_templates.cfg
If you jkust removed this:
<branch value="//comp1/default/main/KMS/WORKAREA/Bharti/templatedata/submissions/test" include="yes" />
then it will not work, since you have branches all = no
change the line to this
<branch value="/default/main/KMS/" include="yes" />

Hey guys,
Thx for all you help but i think i have found the soilution it was in the 6.5 sp1 release document , lets hope it works , i will keep you posted for the same
"52328 ContentCenter Professional: templating no longer automatically instantiates a submit tt_data workflow. In the application_custom.xml file in the UI Toolkit, use the ccpro-use-tt-data parameter to configure this behavior. This bug was incorrectly listed as 52382."

You need to do the above two things.
1. Add entry for tt_data in custom xml file(mandatory for Content Center Professional).
2. In available templates.cfg , keep the path upto branch level only
<branch value="/default/main/KMS/" include="yes" />
