Workspace Refiler GUI
Alastair
Hello there,
I have written an application for a client that updates workspace meta-data and then refiles that throughout the folder and documents etc.
However the problem occurs when there is an error and the User Interface does not disappear halting the program. This rus within a DTS and therefore causes great problems when everything stops. Is there anyway one can tell the refiler to continue on error. I'm using the below code as submitted by 'jny' in another post that I read.
Set oCmd = New IManRefileCmd
Set oContext = New ContextItems
oContext.Add "SelectedImanObject", oWorkspace
oContext.Add "IManExt.ConfirmIndividuals", False
oContext.Add "ConfirmMessages", False
oContext.Add "IManExt2.refileNoUI", True
oCmd.Initialize oContext
oCmd.Update
oCmd.Execute
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Alastair

If it's any help the error in the refiler says "The Refiler Command Failed" with a docnumer. I checked the document and it is indeed in use and checked out to a user. Is there anyway the refiler UI can just continue when it reaches a doc in use?

In case anyone cares the parameter in the RefileCmd of "oContext.Add "IManExt2.refileNoUI", True" does not exist in Worksite 8.0 SP1 only in 8.1 and above. Took me too long to reach this decision but hey it's as if time is money! This is the second time I've a post on this forum with no response. Thanks for nothing.

There is a reg key that you may set to close the re-filing dialog once the operaton is done. This will allow the Re-filing UI to appear but also disappear immediately. This key applies to all 8.x. Would that be feasible for you?
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Interwoven\WorkSite\8.0\iManExt\RefileDlg]
"CloseOnFinish"=dword:00000000
DWORD 0=close; 1=open

What are the items to add to the ContextItems collection to control the values of the checkboxes that appear in the native refile command?
- Modify Security of Sub-folders that don't inherit
- Inherit the metadata/security from the parent folder/workspace

There are no available contextitems for these checkboxes. You may, however, skip the confirmation message dialog by including the following contextitem and value:
' Assuming myContextItems is a valid pointer to the IManExt.ContexItems Collection Object.
myContextItems.Add "ConfirmMessages", False
When you choose to skip this dialog, the checkbox values in this dialog will be defaulted to False.
So, if you're attempting to default these checkboxes values to true, it cannot be done via ContextItems. This could be an enhancement request.
