Delete and Submit in workflow

Hi

I need to have a workflow that needs to delete a file in workarea as one of its task and submit the deleted file in staging area
(as another task) such that it's in sync. I am saving the file name in a common location such that both the external tasks
can access them. File name is stored with the worklow.Id number such that the references are accurate.

Couple of questions:
1. I am deleting the file on the fly thru IFS `rm /iwmnt/..`; Is there a CLT to delete a file in teamsite on the fly , i know there is a URL command but i don't want any user interactions during deletion. Any other way of deletion ?

2. Secondly i am able to submit the deleted file using a CLT iwsubmit once the workflow/job has been ended but the CLT to submit in the external task is not working after the file had been deleted directly in the file system in the previous external task.

Once the job has beeen ended the same CLT when executed manually works fine .

Using TS 6.0 on solaris

Who owns the task for performing the submission of the deleted file? Is it someone who has the ability to log in to TeamSite with a role of Editor or higher? If they can only login to TeamSite with the role of Author they will not be able to submit the file.

Are you using a submittask or an externaltask running iwsubmit? If the former - is there a specific reason why you aren't using the latter?

Why are you doing a system call to 'rm' the file? If your script is written in perl - use unlink() instead - it's better performance-wise.
