Missing div class

I am creating a presentation template, within which i am calling a css class. The path to the css file is correct, the html code is also right, but the code does not enter the css class. However, if i use the contents of this class in the same div it works, but if i call these contents through the class it doesnt work. What could be the possible reasons for this?
