Problem with Checkbox
cheeku
Hi all,
i am facing a strange problem while using checkbox
my code is
<container name="functions" combination="and">
<label>Functions</label>
<item name="functions">
<labelFunctions</label>
<checkbox>
<option value="printversion" label="PrintVersion" />
<option value="recommend" label="RecommendPage" />
<option value="bookmark" label="BookmarkPage" />
</checkbox>
</item>
</container>
i am saving the DCR by selecting the second option i.e RecommendPage. now after that if i open this DCR in edit mode,it shows me 4 options with 'RecommendPage' and 'recommend' as two different options. i tested this thing by giving 8 options also. it always shows the even numbered option twice.
Can anybody tell me what is the problem?

Hi
I observed an error in the syntax you posted.
At Line "4" --- '<labelFunctions</label>' . Observe the Label tag.

Take this tag as closed. problem is not due to this tag.

I just tried your code and it is working fine to me, while first time or when edit, it is showing only three checkboxes.
Send following info, may help to fix your problem:
DCT Code
TS Version?
OS?
Thanks Nicholas

Hi
You can fix this by making sure that the values of both the label and value attributes of each option tag are the same.
e.g.
<checkbox>
<option value="PrintVersion" label="PrintVersion" />
<option value="RecommendPage" label="RecommendPage" />
<option value="BookmarkPage" label="BookmarkPage" />
</checkbox>
or use some formapi magic.

Colin, do you want to say that can't keep the name and value attribute same? I don't think so.
Also, can you please suggest how FormAPI is helpful in this case? This must be some other issue.

have you ever had a different value in the DCR, I mean different from 3 options that you have now?

yes. i tried with other values also. but it didnt work

I am asking this because if the DCR had the values that *existed* in a DCR before, but are not reflected in the current DCT, they will be displayed along with the set of current DCT values
