Compliance Manager : Filtering the Document Classes in the File --> New --> Drop Down

Hi All,

Feels like I am in a new home. Finding out which is BedRoom and which is Kitchen

Please forgive iam in the wrong room

I am facing one issue in Documentum Compliance Manager 6.5.

I have a req to filter the Document Classes Displayed on the DropDown for "Document Class".

I have two menu items for controlled documents say MenuA and MenuB. I have a list object types say TypeA and TypeB.

And there is two document classes

1. DocClassA associcted with TypeA

2. DocClassB associcted with TypeB

My Requirement Is

When I Click on MenuA I should only see DocClassA.

Also

When I Click on MenuB I should only see DocClassB.

I tried to filter the Document Class int the new Controlled Doc JSP.

Its not the best appraoch. I have to check the permission also while displaying.

And in this way I could filder the Document Classes but when I press NEXT to see the attributes , its showing a folder's Atributes not dm_documents.

Can anybody help me on this?

Hi there Slee:

YES!  You ARE in a home.  The EMC Community homes that are welcoming you in.

I did move your question over to the "kitchen" from the bedroom (so to speak) because your question regarding the detailed Doc Class menus is more in tune with the Developer Community expertise.  The Documentum Community is more focused on the Documentum Users that are a bit less technical and big picture/product inquiries in nature.
