The OD 6.0.2 Release Notes (dated March 2005) say:
Solaris
You must obtain and install the appropriate Solaris patch from the Sun Web site (
www.sun.com):
Solaris 2.9 (Solaris 9) — Patch ID 115336-02
Also check the Sun Java Web site for patches required to run Java for your Solaris platform:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/Sun updates its patches frequently, so ensure that the latest ones are installed on your Solaris hosts.
I've verified that, on my client's Solaris 9 box, Patch ID 115336-02 is installed. The client told me that their box has all OS patches released until October 2004. Is that good enough for OD 6.0.2?
My client has a change control process here to install patches to all their boxes at once, and installing the "latest patches" is not in their schedule in my time frame.
Incidentally, the TS 6.5 Release Notes say "Recommended Patch Cluster Date: Oct/11/04." (But that very helpful piece of information should be made easier to find and included in the TS Installation document too.)
