FormApi working inconsistently

Hi,

In the DCTs I have a field called Path which has the vpath of the dcr created.The field is populated with the value by the system on the event of onSaveDone. Similarly, I have formapi functions that are called onSaveValid.

The problem that we face is that when users create data, at certain times these fields do not get populated or get populated with wrong data, as a result, causes errors in the application.

This problem occurs at random time and cannot be replicated consistently. The users who are onsite do not face this problem , but users offshore face this problem. It seems like if 20 or 30 files are created, there is a possibilty of about 3 to 5 files having this problem. This kind of behavior is not seen always and consistently.

Has anyone experienced such kind of an issue before.

Since you have mentioned that the onsite users do not see this problem and the off-shore users see this, it seems like this could be related to the amount of time its taking to run that process of updating the field. Are you updating this field by using only FormAPI calls which runs totally on the client side or are you running a CallServer which would run a process on the server. Are you storing the DCRname temporarily in a file or something which might be getting overwritten by some other user working on a different DCR.

Can you post your code that you are using to update this field.
