problem in workflow

Hi Experts

When I finish work item from a user inbox I am getting an error saying that the work item is already finished. This usually happens when I open the task and click on close and open it again for few more times and click close button. after few times when i try to finish the task i am getting the error. If for the first time I  click on Finish the task is completed but if I click on close button only I get the error.

If I close the task and open it again will the task is finished internally  ?

please provide solution for this ..........

Hello, have you customized your webtop(?)  taskmanager or/and taskmanagercontainer components?

And do you have any workflow timers in workflow definition?
