WebPublisher DFS Interface - is there one?

Hi,

We are currently looking at interfacing with Web Publisher using DFS and we wondered if there is a current DFS service based API for this kind of interaction, and if not is there one in the pipeline?

Do you want Web Publisher functionality implemented with DFS? that is, you want to access Web Publisher thru DFS services?

Yes.

We want a DFS style API, akin to how Records Management etc., have been implemented as an API.

We know we can take the low level WebPublisher DFC style API and can expose this in a custom DFS based service but we are looking for something provided, and supported, by Documentum that is THE api for WebPublisher.

I dont think one exists today, but it may be in future DFS releases. Enhancements are typically demand-driven. So I suggest you submit an enhancement request through EMC Support. These requests are passed to the product managers who then decide what features to put in the next release.

yes, it's possible. but such interfaces should be provided by WebPublisher but not DFS, which only provides platform APIs to other products.
