Theme Creation

Hi All,

Im a new bee with the WDK customizations.

I am trying to change the theme of my webtop, where I am going to change the color of the background, change the font according to the requirement, background of the hyperlink text and the list goes on...

I have started with changing the background color, the following are the steps that I have done for the same:

1. I have created the folder structure in the custom folder like this

“..\webapps\webtop 6.5 SP2\custom\theme\mytheme\css “

2. In the css folder I have created the webtop.css file which is attached.

       

3. I have also registered mytheme in "BrandingServiceNlsProp.properties" which is under "..\webapps\webtop 6.5 SP2\custom\strings\com\documentum\web\common" (Attached)

4. I am herein attaching my "app.xml" in which I have updated the themes and also mytheme.

After doing all these changes, the preference window itself is not opening up.

Am I going in a right way or do i miss out any connection in between?

Kindly help me out regarding this issue.

It would be really great if you guys also suggest me with changing the font of browser tree, menu etc.,

How to start with all these things...

Hi Raina,

I have some questions for you?

1. What is the error you are getting when you click on preferences button ?

2.Change the name of the css from "webtop.css" to "mycustomtheme.css" .. Its my suggestion ..

3.Delete all cookies and Tomcat Cache and test the functionality once again .. It should atleast show the theme name in "Preferences"

Once if  you are able to see the Theme Name in the prefereces .. the remaing part is simple .. its just adding CSS Classes to  "mycustomtheme.css"  .. in order to change the look ...
