beginner inDocumentum Devlopment, please help

Hi,

Coming straight to the problem:

-- I need to develop a windows application which should be able to implicitly login to documentum on providing the valid crednetials, the application should be able to read, update the document (check in/ check out) via application.

the application should eb simple ... but I am new to ths dev area.

Help I need is on ..Which language shold be suitable for me as a beginner, and code snippets available some where..and some key points to be taken care.
