I am TeamSite 65. SP1 on WIn 2000 server. IS it possible to kick off a Workflow on "Upload"?
If so please direct me to the right documentation please.

I do not believe there is an explicit upload event.

One option would be to write your own custom upload custom menu item or workflow that instantiated the workflow after the upload.

I am also looking for a solution to kickoff a workflow on an event like receiving a list of files in a particular folder. Has anyone got any experience in this... The scenario is that a bunch of files get deployed from another CMS to a drop zone and we need to configure a workflow from TeamSite to pickup those files, process them and have our own set of approvers and finally deploy to production. Is this possible?

Yes, and this can be done in several ways one solution I can think of ...
- A deamon that runs on the drop zone which will trigger the deployment of the files to TeamSite.
- On successful deployment a DNR script can instantiate a the workflow on TeamSite.
