accessing a dcr field value in wft

I need to parse a DCR, get the value of a dropdownbox and assign it to a variable defined in the workflow template. This will serve as the timeout value for a dummy task in the wft. Please guide me on coding this.

Use your favorite xml parser, perhaps TeamSite::XMLnode, to open the DCR and parse it. Read out the values you want and do what you want with them. Pretty straight forward.

TeamSite:

CRnode and TeamSite::XMLnode have both existed for some time now - and are *virtually* identical.

The primary difference seems to be that XMLnode "does not work with Templating's tags (e.g. <iw_iterate>, <iw_value>, etc.)" -- according to the perldoc info.
