which permission is required to promote and use lifecycle

Hello,

Does a user need to have at least WRITE permission and the extended permission 'Change State' to be able to use a lifecycle? (webtop 6.5)

Is there a document I can refer to which explains in detail what permissions are required, and also explains the use of the other extended permission.

E.g. what permission is required for users to be able to link documents. Is this different to permission required to link folders?

EMC Documentum Content Server Version 6.5 Fundamentals has 38 pages on security services... "Folder Security" and "ACLs" are the two sections of most interest to you.

Also DA help should have details on the different security levels, View a Permission Set and then click the help button
