How do you model multiple or elements

I thought this would be easy but I can't find a solution.

The problem

To produce the following DCR

item name=section
item name=body
item name=paragraph/
item name=img/
item name=paragraph/
item name=heading/
item name=paragraph/
etc
/item
/item

That is to say our DCT conatins a section which contains one body. the body conatins 1 to many paragraph , img, or heading elements. These elements can appear optionally , any number of times and in any order within the body.

How do I specify the dcr ?

I can't believe TS cannot do this?????

Could not understand your issue as you have written the DCT, so it will automatically generate the DCR. Else if you are collecting your DCR values from any external task... then have to use XML: Smiley Very Happy

OM in order to create elements and its childelements along with its attributes.

Once the XML gets completed, you have to set the Extended Attributes to the same so that it would automatically detects along with which DCT it can be edited.

If i am wrong in understanding your question... just revert.

Use the OR operator in your container/replicant. That way you are selecting one of the items listed each time - not all of them.

It is always better to do that on your own... just go through the manuals. Any help asked would be appreciated.

Here's the outline of what you need in your DCT...

<item name="body">
    <replicant max="x" min="x" default="x" combination="or">
        <item name="paragraph"></item>
        <item name="img</item>
        <item name="heading"></item>
    </replicant>
</item>

With a DCT based on this (though you obviously need to fill out the item tags) the user will get a select box pop-up when they click the 'body' + icon, offering them a choice of a paragraph, img or heading. Based on which they pick TeamSite will display the field you choose to define in the relavent item tag.

To test what you have in the presentation template, iterate over the "body" list checking for .paragraph, or .heading.

Oh, and I loved this one...

I have asked a question. Honest. I'll have another go and re-phrase.

I would like to create a DCT which has a single body element. Inside the body element a user can insert 1 to many of the following elements: paragraph , img , heading. These three elements are all optional, can occur many times and in any order.

I thought this would be easy but when I've come to create the DCT it turns out i cannot do it.

To cut to the chase the body container specified as an or combination and and a max unbounded produces the following DCR structure.

item name=body
item name=para

item name=body
item name=img

item name=body
item name=para

instead of

item name=body
item nam=para
item nam=img
item nam=para

I only want 1 body element

Any help is appreciated

I'm experimenting with recursive itemref but I'm getting multiple bodies which are embedded within each other !!

Again depending upon your requirement...
How about using a single VF enabled text box within your body?
you can have any order of text, heading, paragraph and images

This approach would be desirable only if you are generating static pages and you don't need a control over the individual items.

Thanks for the suggestion. However VF in our case does not help. (we have lots of types of elements which need to be in the body and they do not map to html elements)

I've formalised the question a little as I'm really surprised this cannot be done,
I must be doing something wrong!

In short can a teamsite DCT represent the following w3c schema structure.
