Customizing FILE Menu

Hi All,

I'm using TS6.0.1/Win2k3 server.

In my environment,

I have two different folders under "templatedata".

the structure is,

templatedata

> firstfolder
>> firsttemplate
>>> data
>>> presentation

> secondfolder
>> secondtemplate
>>> data
>>> presentation


When the user browses under templatedata/firstfolder, the user has to see a different File menu bar, like the user should not see "File>New Form Entry", "File>Delete".

similarly, when the user browses under templatedata/secondfolder, the user should have the option to "File>New Form Entry", "File>Delete".

Please throw some light on this.

I do not believe that there is [currently] any way to customize menus based upon the context of the current navigation.
Some of the OOTB menus handle some level of contextuality in terms of whether or not they are active or inactive - based upon whether you are in a workarea, or staging, or edition etc. - but I don't believe that any such control is provided for custom menu items at this time, nor the ability to further control or augment the context constraints on existing OOTB menus.

Having said that -I would usually suggest you file a feature request with Support , but I'm not sure I understand your requirement here.
- Why would you want to allow File > New Form Entry outside the templatedata/category directory structure but not inside that structure?
- Why would you want to allow File > Delete outside the templatedata/category directory structure but not inside that structure? (this one I can see a potential usage for, but frankly I would look at replacing File > Delete with your own custom menu item and have the custom code determine what to do based on the files and/or directories that were pre-selected when it was invoked).
