Eclipse

In eclipse I am not able to import

import com.documentum.mthdservlet.IDmMethod
when I come to the portion to import com.documentum.mthdservlet.IDmMethod,when i type in import.com.documentum.m..., i get the drop-down as
com.documentum.message.*
com.documentum.message.com.*
com.documentum.msgdate.*
as the drop down but not com.documentum.mthdservlet.IDmMethod
Please let me know how i can import com.documentum.mthdservlet.IDmMethod

This is my classpath

C:\Program Files\Documentum\Shared;C:\Program Files\Documentum\dctm.jar;C:\Documentum\config;D:\Documentum\product\5.3\dctm-server.jar; \workspace\DFCproj;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_11\bin;C:\Program Files\Documentum\java\1.4.2_11\bin

The interface is contained in

mthdservlet.jar, which should be found at \Documentum\jboss4.2.0\server\DctmServer_MethodServer\deploy\ServerApps.ear\DmMethods.war\WEB-INF\lib\. So, you can unzip ServerApps.ear to get the jar file. I didnt find any other place you can get it.

I placed the mthdservlet.jar in C:\Program Files\Documentum\Shared folder and still i am getting the same issue. Please let me know if there is anything else missing.

In the Java Build path of you project properties in Eclipse, add it as an external JAR

Yes. Check the classpath of your eclipse project, make sure all the jars added to the classpath

I think you should not contain a folder in a classpath, in which are jar files. Actually, each jar file is a "folder", you must include all the jar files to the classpath.

Thanks for the suggestion, adding it to the external jars worked and I am able to get import com.documentum.mthdservlet.IDmMethodI want to import com.poc.utility.UtilityClass;Please let me know how I would get this to work.

search in www.findjar.com if you are not sure of the jars to be added to the classpath but you know what class files are required.
