iwproxy remap

TeamSite Environment:
Version: 6.1
OS : Solaris
App server: WebLogic 7

Each workarea is configured to an instance of WebLogic. Currently TS authors / editors created JSP and test it via WebLogic instance URL running at a specific port assigned for that workarea.

Trying to make those JSP's virtualize in TeamSite workarea itself, so that users can view and test it from their own workarea.

I tried the below regex, but no luck.

[iwproxy_preconnect_remap]
## This remapping rule get the files in the workarea viewable from teamsite
_regex=(.*/development/WORKAREA/mmuthu/)(.*)(.jsp|.html)$=http://weblogicserver:12345/$2.aff

Is there anything, I'm missing?

Hi,
we don't use WebLogic but Tomcat for rendering JSP pages.

One additional question.
Your proxy regex only uses $2 as information,
what's with all the other path parts given?
Don't you need the workarea part?

Thanks for the thread! It is useful. But still I cant resolve those jsp's from my workarea. Not sure what I'm missing.

I have several softlinks created in my Weblogic box for my instance pointing like
/opt/weblogic/mydomains/blah/blah/index.jsp ---> /iwserver/default/main/development/WORKAREA/wa/index.jsp
and this jsp extension has been masked to show as "aff".

To answer your question about the other path parts:

When I view this file from weblogic I use the following URL http://weblogic:myportnumber/index.aff

so that is the reason why I tried to capture only the path after the WA and appended the extension "aff". Do I need the workarea name to resolve the JSP in TeamSite?

ok, if you only have one workarea to virtualize you don't need the workarea path information...

If you request the http://weblogic:myportnumber/index.aff directly with an webbrowser, do you get an correct response?
Or do you get an error message?

Yes, I can hit the weblogic URL http://weblogic:myportnumber/index.aff directly from browser and get the response. Just want to get this thing work from TeamSite GUI itself. To avoid user checking the weblogic URL and after making chage in their teamsite workarea.

Fine. Activate your iwproxy regex given in your first posting.
Than stop your running iwproxy and start your iwproxy again in debug mode with "iwproxy -d" on a command line.
You'll get a lot of debug information there...
