CS 5.3, JMS, stdout.log question

Hi all,

A quick question: Is there a way to limit the size of the C:\Documentum\product\5.3\tomcat\logs\stdout.log in order to be able to control the size of it? Or even with a maximum size limit and appending to another file, or by using file rolling capabilities.

Havent found a way to limit or even stop stdout.log from logging, although the log4j.log works fine and as expected based on it's configuration on log4j.properties file in C:\Documentum\config

AFAIK - No. This is why you should use DfLogger vs stdout. Any specific reasons why you are not using DfLogger?

I am using the DfLogger capabilities, but in case of an error, the error also goes to stdout.log, and this is something that makes the stdout.log increase in size. I believe that this has something to do with the log4j.properties file configuration, but I am not really sure how to direct only FATAL errors to stdout.log.

Its definitely something to do with log4j.properties. I'm not an expert on configuring that, but you should be able trap FATAL errors like all of errors supported by DfLogger.
