VisualPreview cant find index pg

I'm testing my ts 6.1 install as an author via the ccstandard interface but am having an issue. When I click one of the links under the default "My Workareas" column the page virtualizes correctly however the VisualPreview bar reads, "The VisualPreview toolbar could not find your index page. Contact your system administrator to properly configure your Web server."

Thoughts? Win2k TS6.1

Couple thoughts.

This is normal behavior. You can customize what happens when you click the left hand links. By default it takes you into a preview mode in the workarea, in which case it is redirecting you to the root of the workarea, and it looks for a default document (as defined by your web browser). I am guessing that you have IIS running since you mentioned win2k, so the order is something like default.htm, default.asp, etc. If none of those pages are found at the top of your workarea, you will get the page/message you see now.

To get around this, change the setting in the application_custom.xml file in the UITK to have those links do the same thing as Browse (exact syntax is escaping me now, but look at the refernce files or customer samples toolkit). Your other option is to setup some proxy rewrites in iw.cfg that redirect the link to the proper location of your default page.
