Can webtop advanced search use registered tables?

Does anyone know if the webtop (D6.0 Sp1) advanced search will accept a registered table object or a registered view object as part of the <includetypes> setting? I have been unable to get this to work so far.

What value did you place in <includetypes>? My gut says this cant be done without some customization.

I didn't think it would but wanted to see if someone had it working and I was just missing something not-so-obvious.

I'm calling it via a direct URL as this is the quickest way to test it:

This works (actual object_type):

http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/advsearch?includetypes=aps_document

This doesn't (registered table):

http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/advsearch?includetypes=aps_stat_docs_in_process_vw.
http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/advsearch?includetypes=testowner.aps_stat_docs_in_process_vw
http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/advsearch?includetypes=dm_registered
http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/advsearch?includetypes=dm_queue (OOTB registered table; tested as a validity check)

The above all cause the following NullPointerException: com.documentum.web.formext.control.docbase.search.SearchObjectTypeDropDownList.updateSearchScopes(SearchObjectTypeDropDownList.java:158)
