Hi all,
have recently been converting some code that uses the DFC.Interop DLL in .NET so that it uses the DFS. Some of the changes are fairly trivial in converting from using DFC to DFS but one area that is causing me trouble is using UCF content transfer. I have read many articles and posts across the interweb but cannot seem to find the answer, for what i am sure will be a simple solution.
In short the problem is this: Whenever i attempt a UCF transfer to import an object in the docbase i am getting the following error: "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found" Now i realise this is a standard not found http error, but the odd thing is that the URL is correct as i can perform a pass-through query using the same URL through DFS, it just seems that the UCF transfer is chucking this error up. I thought it must be my code being wrong so i have tried out some of the same applications found here on the EMC network and these produce the same error.
So my question is am i missing a component on my content server install for the UCF transfer, i imagined it all came installed out of the box with 6.5, or is there a bug or something else i need to know about?
All thoughts and suggestions gratefully received.
Scott
