Issues Configuring Index agent for a index server

HI all,

We have done index server installation successfully. Installation of index agent also went fine. We are facing an issue while configuring index agent for the associated server. The log is as follows

LAST_BEAN_ID_INVOKED=performActoin
LAST_BEAN_MESSAGE=An exception occured in: DiWAServerIndexAgentPerformAction2, beanID: performActoin - DiWAServerIndexAgentPerformAction2 failed! - failed to create instance for IndexAgent1: Array index out of range: 0; Array index out of range: 0

The java version on content server machine is java 1.6.0_07. where as we have installed and set class variable to the same java version. But installing Documentum is also installing Java version 1.5.0_12 @ path C:\Documentum\java\1.5.0_12. we had a small query about that regarding the java that documentum uses for installing Index agent.

Kindly throw some light on the issue

Please confirm whether your java version on both content server and index server machines are same hoping you are configuring Index agent on any of those machiens.

Hi Ravindra,

Both java are 1.5.0_12. I am using Content Server 6.5 SP2 for Linux and Oracle.

Actually both are installed as part of Content server Installation and Index server Installation.

Later I had un-installed Index Agent and Index Server. I deleted dm_ftengine_config object and dm_fulltext_index object manually. I also deleted the folders inside /documentum.

I re-installed everything but still I get the same result.

But during the reinstallation I got a message that a recent version of Application Server and Service Wrapper already exists at /documentum/shared and /documentum/shared/tools/JavaServiceWrapper, so it will not be installed. But as I had mentioned earlier, I have removed the folders inside /documentum.

Please let me know your thoughts on the same.
