need to test documents while checkout

TASK: after selecting number of documents and clicking "checkout" some tests must be performed on each document, and those, which don't pass, show the error msg, and are not checked out. others - must be processed normally, and without any additional submittions.

first tried to perform such test by implementing Precondition. It locks the "check out" button perfectly, but can't report reason. this method is not suitable.

So need to break off the native behavior of CheckoutComponent (CheckoutContainer ?), and insert there nested prompts

tried to solve in this way in (CheckoutComponent):

                     args_.add(Prompt.ARG_TITLE, "can't checkout");

                     setComponentJump("prompt", args_, getContext());
                     return true;
           }
}

and some other variants of setComponentXXX
result: either all of selected documents skipped or all are checked out - no separation

any ideas?

suggest you review how the following class works and extend it to preform its tests plus your custom tests

com.documentum.web.formext.action.LaunchComponentWithPermitCheck

once done you need to update the action definition for checkout to use your new class
