127.0.0.1 2728 127.0.0.1 80 HTTP/1.1 GET /ExponentWSA/ExponentWSA.asmx - 1 Connection_Dropped Defaul

hi,

Im installing CTS 6.5 on a machine(windows server 2003 R2 Standard Edition service pack 2).After installing the DTS. When i try to access http://localhost/ExponentWSA/ExponentWSA.asmx im getting page cannot be displayed error.

When i checked the HTTPERR log. I found multiple entries of Error :127.0.0.1 2971 127.0.0.1 80 HTTP/1.1 GET /ExponentWSA/ExponentWSA.asmx - 1 Connection_Dropped DefaultAppPool.

I have verified IIS server its running fine.I have checked the Adlib services manually,it also working fine.

I have uninstalled IIS,CTS and .NET framework 2.0 twice still the error is same. Help needed asap.

Did you get your problem with CTS resolved ?

We have the same issue with ADTS.

We have been pointed towards 2 support notes :

esg83235 How to fix ExponentWSA.asmx access issue with IIS for DTS or RPTS?

esg98595 Service Unavailable 503 AppOffline DefaultAppPool

Our issue is still not resolved, but maybe these support notes my help you or others.

Thanks for the help . But in my case i did troubleshoot upto some extent and found that 503 error is just bcos of permissions issue.I gave proper permissions to the installation owner,and it got solved.But still i got page can't be displayed error when i tried accessing http://localhost/ExponentWSA/ExponentWSA.asmx.when i checked the HTTPERR log i found 127.0.0.1 2820 127.0.0.1 80 HTTP/1.1 GET /ExponentWSA/ExponentWSA.asmx - 1 Connection_Dropped DefaultAppPool error repeating..

When i did troubleshoot further i found that during the installation of DTS, OCR folder is not got created in ProgramFiles\Documentum\CTS\Adlib .DTSL registry entry also missing.I tried with new DTS setups still it results the same.

Hi Mohamed,

Did you log a case with EMC Support ?

In my setup (D6.5 SP2 ) I can see that when I ask for a rendition (via DA) the document gets copied to the ADTS server, gets rendered into PDF but then it does not get loaded back into the repository. The root cause being the ExponentWSA site not functioning.

Hi Mohamed,

I don't know if your problem is resolved or not, but my issue with ADTS has been fixed.

I did the following :

1) Uninstall IIS, ASP.Net, MSMQ and .Net.

2) Reinstall IIS, ASP.Net, MSMQ and .Net

3) Run “CTS_HOME\ AdlibSetup\ExpressWebServices470.exe” to install exponenetWSA again.

4) Check Express Connector and Express Manager to ensure that your CTS host is listed.
