VDM Exception when loading a folder containing a document with special permissions

Hello everyboy,

I'm facing the following problem using the VDM component.

It contains something like a folder with several nodes and subnodes with associated documents (we are using virtual documents).

For one document has been set restricted permissions via an ACL (i.e none for everybody except for a group of users).

The problem is the following:

When I browse the parent node with a standard user, I want to obtain only the tree with the documents the user has the rights to see.

But during the browsing of the tree structure, an error occures since the VDM tries to access the document and the current user has no browse access to it.

(DfIdNotFoundException)

So my questions are the following:

why the VDM tries to get the restricted object (although he should not to my mind) ?

How to correct the error ?

Virtual doc is just a list of object IDs that allow VDM to create a "tree-like" hierarchy.  Not sure what is causing the error, but you might be able to avoid it by giving the user just BROWSE permissions on the document.  This gives the user access to metadata, but not the ability to read the document, so VDM should not have any issues with object ID.
