Import Issues on TS 6.5

Env - 6.5 on Solaris.

Issue - Import doesn't show up all files from the local machine.

I looked at a couple of forums and it seems like a Teamsite bug in TS 552, but its supposed to be fixed on Teamsite 6.5 rite?

Anybody having same issues out there?

Import depends on the local (desktop) JVM. What version of JVM do you have? It needs to be atleast Sun JVM 1.4

I'm seeing this problem with MS JVM. I haven't seen anywhere that we must install SUN JVM 1.4 for file imports... is that the case?

We had various file import issues on TeamSite 6.5 for a user that was running behind a psuedo proxy device (IPrism).

When I run a java -version on the command prompt, it shows me build "1.5.0_01-b08" installed and it is a sun version.

So the version doesn't seem to be the problem.

Lets say for instance, the java versioning is an issue. In that case, how do you control the jre that gets installed automatically on users machines, the first time they try to do an import? Or how do you override the version that already got installed on their machines?

Is there any other reason for this not to work?

Our TS users are experiencing the same thing.... Teamsite doesn't see the files in a directory, only the folders. I'm trying to import a pdf file. I've copied it to several locations, but teamsite never sees it when I navigate to its location to try to import it.

Users can recreate this on their PC. Some has Java 1.5.0_03 and Java Plug-in 1.5.0_02.

Is there a fix for this?

Check the support matrix. JRE 1.5.x is not supported with 65 SP1. The specific bug
you are seeing has been fixed in 65 SP2 (but still not offically supported, I believe.)

I just had our users uninstall Java 1.5 and install J2RE 1.4.2_06.

Just a note for you about my experiences with this issue -

Windows 2000 professional and Microsoft JVM that came with the system (no longer available) - import shows all files
Window XP Professional and Sun JVM - imports shows partial list of the files

Yeah, I'm also seeing this, with Solaris 9, TS 6.5 SP2 Patch 1614.
Client win XP sp2 and JRE 1.5 (java.runtime.version = 1.5.0-b64)
