Deleting custom content type entry from DA

HI all,

For our created custom content type its assosiated database table is deleted. Pls mention a method to delete it's assosicated entry in DA. so that we can create it again from DA.

You should NOT modify the database directly. It should be done through DA, DA will drop the database tables accordingly. Have you tried Remove/Drop Type in DA? In order to remove type, the all subtypes must be deleted first and there must be no instances of the type.

OUCH!!! Repository dead.... Delete it and rebuild. Hope your team has a scripted install process and this is a DEV or QA.... If PROD, gotta roll back

HI all,

I tried deleting a particular content type but not able to perform any kind of operation on only one particular content type. So it made me to delete the underlying corresponding database table. This lead to the inconsistency in displaying that particular content type. kindly provide me with a way to delete that from DA too.

You probably need to recreate the tables, so that Content Server can delete them appropriately while its deleting the type. For example, if your custom type is called "custom_type" and you have defined both single and repeating custom attributes, then you should have "custom_type_s" and "custom_type_r" tables. Try adding this table back in and then try deleting the type from DA.
