Windows Crash When Copying files to IFS volumn (iw-mount)

I am doing a new install of TeamSite 6.5 on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.

We are at the very early stages...

I am trying to copy files into TeamSite via iw-mount, and every time I do, Windows crashes!

Absolutely _nothing_ in the log files that is relevant.

Any help will be repaid in gold.

Are you copying file to the Y:\ driver on the TeamSite server or to Y:\default\main\branch\WORKAREA\workarea. Since it is new installation you should create a Branch, workarea then copy the files.

OK, this is insane... I finally got the examples files imported (had to use the gui), and now whenever I try to view one of the files, the server crashes!

Which SPs are you using for 6.5 and Win2003?

I think you need 6.5SP2 if you're using Win2003SP1.

Check the support matrix and give tech support a call
if it's still misbehaving.

I have encountered the similar issue to some time last year while being on TeamSite 6.0x, Windows 2003 Platform. When we disabled the Norton Anti Virus package it worked fine. Both the Y:\ drive access and the access from the UI.

Please refer to KB article 1667. Recommendation is not scan Y:\ drive and instead to scan only the iw-store as Y:\ drive is just the virtual mount.

We are encountering this problem on a regular basis, running Teamsite 6.5 and Windows 2000 and Macafee. It happens when we try and copy large (several MB) files to the Y: drive; either via explorer or TS Import.
As it says in the Knowledge Base Article (1667), this is not a server hang or freeze but just a 'pause' usually up to 5 - 10 minutes.
What the knowledge base article doesn't mention though is that when the 'pause is over' your Y: drive has disappeared and requires a reboot to get it back. There is even a Windows Warning event logged - {Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to . The write operation failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.
